AWEA Fall Symposium  November 17 -19, 2010

Chandler AZ - November 17-19, 2010 -- Windurance participated in the three day conference for members of the Wind Energy Association held this year in Chandler, Arizona at the Sheraton Wild Horse Resort. The American Wind Energy Association holds this event annually to spur interaction among its members and allow feedback to help formulate and adapt strategy for the upcoming year. Program Chairperson, Edward Zaelke, Partner in the law firm of Chadbourne & Park, LLP in Los Angeles, CA laid out for the over 800 attendees a rigorous two and one-half day schedule.  Two tracks were offered to the attendees: Realities of the Market and Managing Your Future for Profit along with a General Session each day of the conference.  Windurance participated in the following panel discussions moderated by industry experts and professionals:

• Policy Outlook: After the Election
  
• Fostering Innovation & Technology
  
• Transmission Solutions

Numerous networking breaks, lunches and receptions allowed further interaction and feedback to reach AWEA staff members.

Highlight of the three day conference was a keynote address made by former General and US Secretary of State, Colin Powell.

Forty four attendees chose to stay an extra day on Saturday, November 20, 2010 to participate in an AWEA organized golf tournament at the Whirlwind Golf Club, Devil’s Claw course co-located on the resort.
